Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], December 16 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that amid emerging technologies posing unprecedented challenges, the world needs a more just, inclusive and responsive global system.

Addressing the 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (ICCJW), the Chief Minister emphasised that even 80 years after its adoption, the United Nations declaration remains relevant. He said that whether it is addressing global warming or finding solutions to worldwide crises, India’s perspective can offer a constructive path forward.

‘While emerging technologies are making life easier, they also pose unprecedented challenges, including cybercrime, data theft and several new problems. At such a time, justice and morality can play a vital role in shaping global peace and human civilisation. We should reconsider the UN’s declaration made 80 years ago that the world needs a more just, inclusive and responsive global system. Even after eight decades, this declaration remains relevant,’ Adityanath said.

He added that contemporary challenges require a renewed approach to global cooperation. ‘Our need today is not limited to old beliefs but to address present-day requirements and better utilise platforms like the UN by speaking out on issues such as climate change, cybersecurity, health crises and global terrorism. India’s ancient traditions, which regard earth, water, fire, air and sky as integral to life, have always prioritised purity and protection. Whether it is the challenge of climate change or finding ways to resolve global crises, India’s thinking can offer solutions,’ he said.

The Chief Minister further stressed that justice must go beyond competence and ensure security and commitment towards every citizen. He said the conference should convey a message to the world that justice must safeguard citizens and their future while addressing humanitarian challenges.

Yogi Adityanath attended the 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World organised by City Montessori School in Lucknow. The event began on November 19 and concluded on November 24, and featured several prominent speakers, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that the conference would successfully present the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to the world. ‘The philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, meaning the whole world is one family, has been a core principle of Indian civilisation for thousands of years. I am confident that this conference will once again present this sentiment to the entire world in a tangible form, in line with Indian culture,’ he said. (ANI)
