Imphal, Manipur, December 7 (HBTV): The High Court-constituted committee formed to conduct an enquiry into the case of missing man Laishram Kamal Babu, who was went missing on November 25 from Leimakhong Army Camp, conducted a spot enquiry on Friday at the army camp.



The committee includes the district magistrate of Kangpokpi district; the superintendent of police of Kangpokpi district; SDC of Kangpokpi; the superintendent of police of Imphal West; and the commanding officer of the 57 Mountain Division Signal Regiment.



The Manipur High Court on December 3 constituted the committee to enquire whether the man was been abducted in the camp or had fled on his own.



The court also made clear that the missing man’s family shall cooperate with the committee for producing any other materials or records which may be available with them.



The high court has directed the district magistrate to serve a notice to the petitioner or family members of the petitioner to appear before the committee for enquiry. Also, the enquiry report is to be filed before the High Court on the next hearing on December 11, updates said.
