Imphal, Manipur, March 21 (HBTV): In a suspected case of sexual crime, a minor girl was found dead in the premise of Lanva TD Block relief camp at Churachandpur district at around 12 pm on Thursday.
Sources said the victim had been missing since 6:30 pm. The body was found around midnight.
Sources said her throat was tied with a rope and an injury was also found on her throat. Blood stains were also found on the area of her buttocks.
The dead body has been kept at the Churachanpur district hospital mortuary. The post-mortem is yet to be conducted.
The Zomi Mothers’ Association has condemned the incident. Way Mark Academy, the school where the victim used to study, also condemned the incident.
