Agartala (Tripura) [India], November 29 (HBTV): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced on Friday that the state government has identified ten villages under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission to enhance the cattle population in the state.

Speaking at the Mukhyamantri Prani Palak Samman Nidhi event at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala, CM Saha highlighted the significance of the Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD). He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prioritized animal husbandry for the welfare of farmers, and the Tripura government is aligning its efforts with this vision.

The Chief Minister outlined various ARDD initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities and boosting the production of animal food products.

'The production of milk, meat, and eggs is crucial for us, and we need to explore ways to increase their supply. The department is also focusing on vaccination, treatment, and disease prevention for animals and birds,' he said.

The event underscored the importance of encouraging beneficiaries and others to actively engage in animal husbandry, which is vital for the state's economic and agricultural development.
