Chumoukedima (Nagaland) [India], June 15 (HBTV): Three individuals injured in a reported shooting near Leilon Vaiphei and Konsakhul villages in Manipur's Kangpokpi district were brought to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, for treatment on Monday.

The injured have been identified as Genlenmang Vaiphei (18), Lunliandaw Vaiphei (20), and Paogou Lal (18).

All three reportedly belong to the Kuki community.

According to sources, the injured were transported to Imphal under tight security arrangements amid heightened tensions in the area.

The incident occurred earlier in the day when fresh tension reportedly erupted near Leilon Vaiphei and Konsakhul villages in Kangpokpi district. Reports indicated that a firing incident took place in the locality, leaving three persons injured.

Security forces and civil authorities are closely monitoring the situation to prevent any further escalation. However, the circumstances leading to the firing and the identities of those involved have not yet been officially confirmed.
