Tel Aviv [Israel], March 4 (HBTV): Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has hailed a 'significant victory' in the international arena after an attempt to expel Israel from the World Medical Students Association was thwarted.

The MFA credited intensive diplomatic efforts by its UN missions for the outcome, stating that it successfully urged the World Health Organization (WHO) to pressure the World Federation. The ministry emphasized that it made it clear that if the decision remained in effect, ties between the WHO and the Student Federation would be damaged.
