Tel Aviv [Israel], February 26 (HBTV): Israel's Defense Ministry has intensified the Northern Shield project, constructing 1,240 shelters across 17 northern border communities.



Eight contracting companies are involved in the initiative, with further expansion planned for next month. Deputy Director General of the ministry, Erez Cohen, confirmed a budget allocation of 1.2 billion NIS (USD 330 million) for additional expansion in April.
