Tel Aviv [Israel], March 1 (HBTV): The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that on Thursday night, an Israeli Air Force aircraft targeted and killed Muhammad Mahdi Ali Shahin, a Hezbollah operative, in the Al-Harmal area of Lebanon.

According to the IDF, Shahin was involved in orchestrating arms transactions along the Syria-Lebanon border following the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon.

As part of his role in Hezbollah, Shahin was responsible for procuring weapons for the terrorist organization and coordinating the arrival and distribution of shipments to various units. His efforts aimed at rebuilding Hezbollah’s armed capabilities, which had been severely impacted by Israeli strikes over the past 15 months.

The IDF further stated that Shahin collaborated with arms traders and smugglers operating along the Syria-Lebanon border who worked in coordination with Hezbollah. His activities, the IDF asserted, posed a direct threat to Israel and its citizens and constituted a violation of the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
