London [UK], March 25 (HBTV): Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah is set to end his nine-year stint with the club at the end of the 2025-26 season.

A statement issued by the club said, 'Mohamed Salah is to bring the curtain down on his illustrious career with Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025-26 season. The forward has reached an agreement with the Reds that will see him close a remarkable nine-year chapter at Anfield.'

Signed from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, the number 11 has firmly established himself as one of the greatest players in Liverpool's history, helping the club win two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two League Cups, and an FA Community Shield.

Salah's Liverpool career in numbers reflects his extraordinary impact at the club.

He created 534 chances in open play since joining Liverpool in 2017, the most in the Premier League.

He made 435 appearances for the Reds across all competitions, making him the 23rd most capped player in the club's history, according to the team's official website.

His total Premier League contribution stands at 281 goal involvements for Liverpool, comprising 189 goals and 92 assists, the most by a player for one club in the competition's history.

Salah has scored 255 goals for Liverpool across all competitions, making him the third-highest goalscorer in the club's history, behind Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).

In September 2021, he reached 100 Premier League goals for Liverpool in just 151 games, a club record.

He has averaged a goal every 138 minutes of play for Liverpool.

In addition to his goal-scoring, Salah has registered 119 assists in the Premier League for Liverpool, placing him among the top contributors in the competition.

He has made 94 appearances in European competitions for the Reds, joint-third alongside Sami Hyypia, with only Steven Gerrard (130) and Jamie Carragher (150) ahead.

Of his assists, 92 have come in the Premier League, making him the joint-highest assist provider for Liverpool alongside former captain Steven Gerrard.

Salah also holds the record for the club's quickest goal in a European Cup match, scoring 55 seconds into a game against FC Midtjylland in December 2020.

No player in Liverpool's history has scored more goals in European fixtures than Salah, with 48 of his 53 coming in the UEFA Champions League.

In the 2024-25 season, he recorded the most goal involvements in a 38-game Premier League campaign, with 29 goals and 18 assists.

Out of 55 penalty attempts for Liverpool, Salah has converted 46. Only Steven Gerrard has scored more penalties for the club (47).

During the 2017-18 season, he scored 44 goals in his debut campaign at Anfield, the second-highest in a single season in the club's history, behind Ian Rush's 47 in 1983-84.

Salah holds the Premier League record for the most matches in which a player has registered both a goal and an assist.

He has scored 16 goals against Manchester United, his most against any opponent.

Over his Liverpool career, Salah has won eight major titles: two Premier League titles, one Champions League, one FA Cup, two League Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup, and a UEFA Super Cup.

He has been named Premier League Player of the Month seven times, a joint record shared with Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane.

Salah also holds the record for the quickest hat-trick in a Champions League match, scoring three goals in six minutes and 12 seconds against Rangers in October 2022.

He has reached the 30-goal mark in a season five times during his time at the club.

Salah has won the Premier League Golden Boot on four occasions, the joint-highest tally alongside Thierry Henry.

He has been included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year four times.

Salah has won the PFA Players' Player of the Year award three times and was the first player to receive the honour on three occasions.

He has also been named the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year three times.
