Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 9 (HBTV): At least 15 people were hospitalised on Tuesday after allegedly consuming adulterated toddy, an alcoholic drink, at a shop in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally area, according to an excise official.



All affected individuals were taken to Ramdev Hospital for treatment. One of the victims is reported to be in critical condition, while the others are undergoing medical care.



'A total of 15 people were hospitalised after consuming toddy at a shop in Kukatpally. They were shifted to Ramdev Hospital for treatment, where one person is in serious condition, and the others are undergoing treatment,' said the excise official.



Further investigation into the incident is underway.
