CM launches O2 plant in Tuensang

The Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio launched an oxygen generation plant at District Hospital Tuensang on June 22.

The virtual launching program was joined by many dignitaries from the government of nagaland, the UNDP and government of Japan. 
While thanking and acknowledging the facility support in the form of the oxygen generation plant the chief minister of Nagaland also extended gratitude to the Government of Japan to India and UNDP.



Nagaland which consists of twelve districts, out of which only Kohima, Dimapur, and Mokokchung are facilitated with such equipments and now at Tuensang, it was informed that the next district would be Phek which is a huge development in the health sector of the districts, he added. He added that the plant is very important which will save many lives in the remote district not only during a pandemic but also in the long run. 
With the absence of private hospitals in the district, government hospitals with smarter technical support and facilities can play a major successful role in the health services, he added. Rio also advised the technicians to maintain the equipment with utmost care and sincerity so that the facility will give the much-needed services not only to people of the district but neighboring districts as well.
