Assembly Resolution: Nagaland Govt to regularize group A, B, C, D post employees

Kohima, Nagaland, February 29 (HBTV): The government resolution on regularization of employees in group A and B posts and group C and D appointed prior to June 6 2016 was tabled today in the fourth session of 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in Kohima. 



Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who also holds finance portfolio, moved the resolution. 



It stated that the state being a welfare state as guaranteed in the Constitution is responsible for providing basic economic security to citizens and to protect the livelihood of the employees working in any department.



In its decision dated February 9, 2024, the Cabinet has resolved to adopt a resolution to regularize group A and B employees appointed prior to June 6 2016 and appointed against gazette sanctioned posts at the time of their appointment and have completed 10 years of service under the state government and whose appointments are not sub judice. 



The house unanimously resolved to adopt a policy to carry out a one-time exercise to regularize the group by conducting a suitability test by which they may be regularized against the post they are occupying provided they fulfill all the criteria as stated in the policy.



Group C & D posts



According to the resolution, the Cabinet in its decision dated February 9, 2024 has resolved to adopt a resolution to regularize Group C & D employees appointed prior to June 6, 2016 and appointed against sanctioned posts at the time of their appointment and have completed 10 years of service under the State Government and whose appointments are not sub judice.
