Imphal [Manipur] June 30 (HornbillTV): To encourage mass vaccination drives being taken up in all the Assembly constituencies of the State, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh announced that a cash reward of INR 20 lakhs would be given to the first fully vaccinated assembly constituency. This was announced by him during the launching function of Mobile Insulated Vaccination Bus at Khurai Lamlong Keithel, Imphal East today. The Mobile Insulated Vaccination Bus was donated by Khurai MLA, L. Susindro Meitei.
 
Addressing the public, N. Biren Singh said that India has started the world’s largest free vaccination drive under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and informed that vaccination is the only weapon to fight COVID-19. Stating that people have lost their loved ones due to the pandemic, the Chief Minister urged all the eligible persons to get vaccinated at the earliest to protect against the dreaded disease. Seeking people’s support and cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 disease, he said that we all must maintain Covid appropriate behaviour and guidelines issued by the government.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA L. Susindro also announced that 5 kgs of rice, hand sanitizer and face mask would be provided to all those who volunteered themselves for vaccination. People can avail the facility of the mobile vaccination bus at their homes if there are atleast ten persons to be vaccinated, he added. He further said that such service would continue till the constituency is fully vaccinated.
