Baghmara [Meghalaya], June 17 (HornbillTV): Three persons died in the south garo hills in Baghmara in Meghalaya late on June 16. The three persons are informed to be husband and wife and their 4 year old son. Bodies have been recovered and all rescue operations are underway for other stranded people who have been severely affected by torrential rains in Meghalaya.

HornbillTV reached out to the DDMO, Bahgmara who confirmed the news and said that ex gratia has been initiated to hand over to next of kin.
