Kohima-Jessami two-lane road contract terminated, given to another firm

The government has terminated the work contract to construct the Kohima (Nagaland) to Jessami (Manipur) road that was awarded to a firm.

Kohima, Nagaland, February 27 (HBTV): The government has terminated the work contract to construct the Kohima (Nagaland) to Jessami (Manipur) road that was awarded to a firm.   



The government has awarded the contract to another firm for the balance work.



Deputy Chief Minister, also the minister-in-charge of Planning and Transformation and National Highways,  TR Zeliang today said the construction work on the two-lane Kohima-Jessami road package-II previously awarded to EPC Contractor M/s KCPL was terminated in 2023 on contractual default.   



Replying to MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu, Zeliang said the balance work has been awarded to EPC Contractor M/s Ratna infrastructure Projects Pvt Ltd.    



Zeliang said the EPC contractor is mobilizing machineries and manpower at the site to start work at the earliest. 



On being asked about the percentage of physical and financial progress of the project, the deputy chief minister said the physical progress in regard to the terminated contract was 58.08% and financial progress for the terminated contract was 54.08%.
