Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the Rebel 500 in the Indian market.

Gurugram (Haryana) [India], June 3 (HBTV): Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Rebel 500 in the Indian market on Monday.

The company stated that the Honda Rebel 500 has been priced at INR 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). Bookings are now open at select BigWing Topline dealerships, with the model available exclusively in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2025.

According to the company, the Rebel 500 blends timeless cruiser styling with modern engineering, offering a distinctive riding experience for Indian motorcycling enthusiasts.

The Rebel 500 is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 8-valve parallel twin-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power of 34kW at 8,500 RPM and peak torque of 43.3 Nm at 6,000 RPM. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox for smooth performance across urban and highway conditions.

The Rebel 500 features a retro cruiser aesthetic with contemporary design elements. It has been designed to be slim, with a low seat height of just 690mm, making it accessible and easy to manage, especially at low speeds. The motorcycle is also equipped with an all-LED lighting system, including a signature round headlamp.

Braking is handled by a 296mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The bike is fitted with Dunlop tyres—130/90-16 at the front and 150/80-16 at the rear.

In terms of features, the Rebel 500 comes equipped with an inverted LCD display that offers clear readouts of essential information while complementing the bike’s classic styling.

The motorcycle is supported by telescopic front forks and Showa dual shock absorbers at the rear to ensure a comfortable and controlled ride.
