Chumoukedima, Nagaland, February 20 (HBTV): Motor accidents and casualties on the Dimapur-Chumoukedima highway continue.  One person has been killed and another injured after two vehicles collided on February 20 at the 3rd mile, Thilixu-Nagarjan junction in Chumoukedima. 

The accident occurred between a Yamaha motorbike and a bus belonging to the 10th Indian Reserve (Nagaland Armed Police).               

According to the police, the accident occurred at approximately 1:30 am at the Thilixu-Nagarjan junction.                          

Police officials told HornbillTV that the bus was taking a turn at a bypass when the motorbike with two persons riding on it rammed into the large vehicle.     

The injured persons were taken to Olive hospital immediately.  One died after reaching the hospital while the other person was put to the Intensive Care Unit.                      

At the time this report was being filed, the deceased was identified as one 26-year-old Aham Konyak. The injured has been identified as a Tokivi, aged 28 years old.               

The Diphupar Police Station has registered a case and investigation is on.
