Wokha police file case against two former axis bank employees; former employees allegedly embezzled INR 14,62,500

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, May 26 (HBTV): The Wokha police’s District Executive Force has filed a case against two former employees of Wokha’s Axis Bank on changers of embezzling money belonging to Don Bosco Higher Secondary School of Wokha.           

The PRO of DEF K Soriso Quinker issued a statement to the media identifying the duo one Lochumbeni Erui, who was serving as a cashier; and a Thungdemo Murry, an assistant sales manager, allegedly embezzled INR 14,62,500.    

According to the PRO of DEF, the branch head of the Axis Bank in Wokha Gaijinlung Kamai complained of financial misconduct involving two of the bank’s employees. The individuals were accused of embezzling an amount totaling to INR 14,62,500 from the bank account of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School of Wokha, which was maintaining its account for the purpose of collecting fees.   

As per preliminary enquiries that were conducted, the DEF stated, it was ascertained that the accused Thungdemo Murry was residing at Dimapur. Lochumbeni Erui was residing in Delhi, as the duo had resigned from their jobs after the incident.           

On further enquiry, it was also ascertained that they have also given a confession letter to the erstwhile bank head Kahuto Achumi regarding their involvement in school fee embezzlement, the police said.  

Based on the findings, a case has been registered against the accused persons, the statement said.
