Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 5 (HBTV): In a major move, 550 newly appointed government teachers received their appointment letters in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the recruits and praised the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) for conducting a fair and transparent selection process.

While addressing the Assistant Teachers (LT Grade) and Lecturers appointed in government secondary schools, the Chief Minister said, ‘You must have seen how none of you had to use any external help in the entire selection process of the UP Public Service Commission.’

‘To achieve the Prime Minister’s Mission Rojgar goal, our state government distributed 8 lakh appointment letters today through a fair and transparent selection process,’ he added.

The Chief Minister informed that nearly 40,000 appointments had been made in the secondary education sector, including 32,000 in government-aided schools. In recent months, more than 8,000 secondary teachers were appointed.

Highlighting the changes since 2017, CM Yogi said that secondary and basic education had suffered due to mass cheating and government apathy. However, with the launch of Operation Kayakalp, the quality and infrastructure of schools had seen major improvements.

‘There was a time when secondary education was struggling to survive. Before 2017, secondary and basic education had become infamous due to cheating, and there was hardly any hope left for improvement,’ he said.

He recalled how proxy candidates from other states used to appear in Uttar Pradesh exams, but said that rigorous monitoring and reforms had ended such practices.

‘Today, Uttar Pradesh is a new Uttar Pradesh. Today, there is no identity crisis for the youth of UP, and the state is developing in every field, creating a new image,’ he added.

He also urged the newly appointed teachers to uphold the same level of integrity in their service.

‘Since you have been selected through a fair and transparent process, the government also expects that you will make similar contributions to raise the level of secondary education in the state,’ he said.

CM Yogi Adityanath concluded his address by reminding the teachers that every student has a goal, and achieving that goal is a moment of great joy — one that educators must guide them towards with dedication and honesty.
