Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the new state assembly building in Nava Raipur will be inaugurated on November 1, coinciding with the Rajyotsav Silver Jubilee celebrations.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], August 16 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday said that the new state assembly building in Nava Raipur will be inaugurated on November 1, coinciding with the Rajyotsav Silver Jubilee celebrations.

"We will celebrate the silver jubilee with full enthusiasm and invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the inauguration of the Assembly building. We have all come here to review the progress, and the work may be completed even before time," CM Sai told reporters.

Assembly Speaker Raman Singh also reviewed the construction work and said that chambers for the Chief Minister and Speaker are nearly 80 per cent complete. "The new building is at its final stage. The Chief Minister has taken the schedule from the Prime Minister, and we are confident the inauguration will take place on time. Preparations are in full swing," Singh said.

Earlier in the day, CM Sai flagged off three new trains, including the Raipur-Jabalpur Intercity Express. The event was attended virtually by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

Calling the new train services a major boost for regional connectivity, CM Sai said, "It is a matter of great pride that Chhattisgarh has been gifted another train from Raipur to Jabalpur. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister. Since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, the railway budget has consistently increased, stations are being modernised, and new connectivity has been ensured."

The CM also highlighted that Bastar has now received an additional train service, noting that earlier only one train connected Chhattisgarh to Jabalpur.
