Imphal (Manipur) [India], August 16 (HBTV): Manipur, often described as an untouched paradise, blends natural beauty with vibrant culture and history, offering immense tourism potential.

Just 15 kilometres from the capital Imphal, in the quiet surroundings of Pheidinga Maharabi, lies Anching Park, a serene retreat sculpted from ancient rocks and adorned with orchids, blossoms and rich greenery. Since its opening in 2003, the 367-hectare park has become a favourite escape for families and tourists alike.

With panoramic hill views, tranquil corners, open green spaces, and playful areas for children, the park offers an ideal getaway for shutterbugs, families and friends. Visitors can also unwind at the on-site café serving traditional snacks.

Lulu, a tourist, said, ‘It is very pleasing to come here in summer, except in winter. I'm not very sure about winter. But if you come in summer, it's an incredible place – a place where you can relax, get peace of mind, surrounded by nature and its sounds. I see many couples, families and friends who have come here today.’

Martha Tamang, another visitor, said, ‘This is a wonderful place. There is a lake, a garden and many beautiful spots. I came here with family and friends. I really like this place.’

Jesica, also a tourist, said, ‘I came to visit this Awunching Park. This place is so amazing – I like it. Everyone should come and visit this place.’

Anching Park has increasingly become more than just a tourist spot. It represents Manipur's peaceful potential and natural charm, standing as a symbol of sustainable tourism and inclusive growth in the region.
