Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached Tokyo, where he held meetings with business leaders to attract global investment for the state.

Tokyo [Japan], August 28 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reached Tokyo, where he held meetings with business leaders to attract global investment for the state.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said he met Kayo Ito, CEO of NTT Ltd Japan, and discussed investment opportunities in the digital, IT and technology sectors in Chhattisgarh.

‘Upon arrival in Tokyo, I met Ms. Kayo Ito, CEO of NTT Ltd Japan, a global leader in IT infrastructure and digital solutions with USD 90 billion revenue. Discussions were held on digital and advanced IT and tech-driven investments in Chhattisgarh,’ he said.

Sai also attended a dinner hosted by Indian Ambassador to Japan Sibi George, where he discussed strengthening Chhattisgarh’s industries with Japanese technology and promoting sustainable Indo-Pacific trade.

According to the Chhattisgarh CMO, the Chief Minister is leading a high-level delegation for an official tour of Japan and South Korea on the invitation of the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), Government of India. The visit aims to place Chhattisgarh on the global investment map.

In Tokyo (August 22–24), the delegation will participate in investor connect sessions and business meetings with Japanese industrialists, trade associations and investors. On August 25, Sai will head to Osaka to attend World Expo 2025 and explore investment opportunities with various stakeholders.

The final leg of the tour will be in Seoul (August 27–29), where roundtable discussions, meetings with leading Korean companies and sector-specific dialogues are planned, the CMO stated.

Chhattisgarh’s heritage, culture of innovation and emerging future-oriented sectors will be showcased to a global audience at the Chhattisgarh Pavilion under Bharat Mandapam at World Expo 2025 in Osaka. The Chief Minister will highlight opportunities in steel, mining, clean energy and startups to attract global investment.
