Chhattisgarh rural officials' delegation meets CM Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar

A 26-member delegation of officials and farmers from the Kawardha district administration in Chhattisgarh met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar, according to an official.

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], May 15 (HBTV): A 26-member delegation of officials and farmers from the Kawardha district administration in Chhattisgarh met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Sunday, according to an official press statement.

The delegation is on a week-long visit to Gujarat to study the Gujarat model of rural development, with a focus on technological innovation and effective implementation of schemes under the District Integrated Rural Development Strategy in Chhattisgarh. The team includes the President and Vice President of the Kabirdham District Panchayat, around 12 farmer representatives, and officials from the state government.

To gain detailed insights into GIS-based, technology-driven rural development planning supported by BISAG, the delegation began their visit with a tour of the BISAG facility. They will also study the application of BISAG technologies in enhancing sugarcane cultivation in the state.

During the meeting with the Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has become a model for development through technology-enabled governance and saturation-level implementation of public welfare schemes. Members of the Chhattisgarh delegation expressed their interest in learning from Gujarat’s innovative development practices.

As part of their itinerary, the delegation will also visit the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) in Anand for institutional exposure to dairy development, biogas plant operations, and sustainable development initiatives. Additionally, they will tour the Bardoli sugar factory to observe field practices in sugarcane cultivation, study processing techniques, and understand the overall operations of the sugar units.

All members of the Chhattisgarh delegation expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for his guidance and presented him with a memento.
