New Delhi [India], May 21 (HBTV): BJP MP and All-Party delegation member Hemang Joshi on Wednesday stated that they have the support of the entire global community in their efforts to combat terrorism.
Speaking to ANI, Joshi said, ‘Everyone strongly supported us in the fight against this terrorism, and this delegation is going today to connect the whole world together to strengthen this fight against terrorism and to make this fight stronger.’
He noted that the world had witnessed both Operation Sindoor and the consequences of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
‘The world has witnessed Operation Sindoor and its repercussions against the elements which were the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received full support from the whole world in the fight against terrorism,’ he said.
The delegation, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, aims to present India’s perspective on terrorism to the global community.
‘Under the chairmanship of our leader Sanjay Jha, we will visit five different countries. We will engage with different stakeholders and present the whole idea of India. This is not a political delegation; it is Team India. This delegation is completely non-political and national-oriented,’ Joshi stated.
Earlier in the day, Sanjay Jha said that the delegation’s role is to expose Pakistan’s alleged role in promoting state-sponsored terrorism.
‘One of the biggest issues is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sending seven delegations across the world. Our delegation is going to Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. The biggest issue is that terrorism is part of Pakistan's state policy. The role of this delegation is to reveal Pakistan’s true face to the world — a state that sponsors terrorism,’ Jha told ANI.
BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, a member of one of the seven multi-party delegations, said these diplomatic missions aim to communicate India's unified stance on cross-border terrorism.
‘As a citizen of the country, I can say that sending seven delegations to around 33 countries by PM Modi’s government is a highly well-thought-out exercise, and the idea is to communicate to the international community India’s stand on cross-border terrorism,’ Sarangi said.
CPI(M) leader and delegation member John Brittas stated that all nations should unite with India in its fight against terrorism.
‘Our delegation is now leaving for Japan. I have always said that this is a public diplomatic outreach to deliver India’s message — that the world must unite against terrorism. This is the time for countries to rally behind India’s concerns,’ Brittas said.
The all-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha departed from Delhi airport. The group will visit Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore to highlight Operation Sindoor and India’s ongoing battle against terrorism.
The delegation includes Ambassador Mohan Kumar, BJP MPs Pradan Baruah, Brij Lal, Aparajita Sarangi, and Hemang Joshi; TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee; JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha; and CPI(M) MP John Brittas. (ANI)
