New Delhi [India], January 24 (HBTV): A meeting of the High-Powered Purchase Committee and the High-Powered Works Purchase Committee was held at Haryana Niwas under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, during which key proposals related to infrastructure and development projects were discussed.
During the meetings, detailed deliberations were held on proposals concerning major works and services of various state departments, and several decisions related to procurement were taken.
In the High-Powered Purchase Committee meeting, five tenders with an estimated cost of around INR 133.47 crore were considered. Re-tendering was ordered in one project, while for the remaining tenders, with an estimated cost of about INR 123.13 crore, negotiations were conducted with bidders. Following negotiations, the final agreed value was fixed at approximately INR 105.04 crore, resulting in savings of nearly INR 18.09 crore.
Similarly, in the High-Powered Works Purchase Committee meeting, 11 tenders with an estimated cost of around INR 491.53 crore were examined. Of these, three tenders were deferred or ordered for re-tendering. For the remaining tenders, with an estimated cost of about INR 412.19 crore, negotiations led to a final agreed value of approximately INR 389.66 crore, ensuring savings of nearly INR 22.53 crore. Overall, total savings of about INR 40.62 crore were achieved across both meetings.
The committees approved a proposal for the supply and installation of online UPS systems and battery banks under the buyback of old UPS systems and batteries for State, District and Block Network Management Centres under the Haryana State Wide Area Network Augmentation Project, aimed at strengthening the state’s digital and network infrastructure.
Approval was also granted to a proposal of the Public Health Engineering Department for arranging an annual rate contract for the supply of ISI-marked sodium hypochlorite solution, a chemical used for water disinfection.
Other decisions included approvals for the creation and construction of 220 KV, 132 KV and 66 KV transmission lines across Ambala, Hisar, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Palwal, Rewari, Rohtak and Panchkula regions.
For Nuh district, the committee approved the construction of a new 100-bedded district hospital on the old CHC campus to improve healthcare access for residents. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that all approved projects are completed with transparency and quality within the prescribed timelines.
