Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 24 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 and said that the country’s global recognition has grown significantly under his leadership.

‘The Prime Minister has taken a resolve to build a developed India by 2047. With the way he has worked over the past 11 years with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, India’s prestige at the global level has increased,’ CM Sai said.

Highlighting the country’s economic progress, he noted that India has become the fourth-largest economy during Modi’s tenure. He also criticised the economic performance under the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.

‘When there was a UPA government at the Centre from 2004 to 2014, the economic sector had come to a standstill. India ranked 10th in the world economy then. But after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, the country rose to fifth position, and in the 11th year of his tenure, it has reached the fourth spot. The nation is confident that we will become a developed country by 2047,’ Sai said.

The Chief Minister made these remarks while releasing the Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision 2047, a vision document for a Viksit Chhattisgarh by 2047.

He further emphasised the state's strengths and acknowledged the contributions of its farmers.

‘There is immense potential in Chhattisgarh. It is rich in mineral resources. Forty-four per cent of the land here is forested and abundant in forest produce. The soil is very fertile, and the farmers are hardworking. We will certainly achieve remarkable progress in every sector,’ he added.
