Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 8 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the second Chhattisgarh Industry Dialogue held in Raipur, where he highlighted the significant role of industrialists in the state's development.

‘The support of industrialists will be significant in the establishment of a developed Chhattisgarh,’ the Chief Minister said.

He noted that a new industrial policy was introduced seven months ago and that several industrial connect programmes are being organised to accelerate industrial growth. Speaking on investment, he said, ‘Proposals for investment of over INR 5 lakh crore have been received, and work has already begun in this direction.’

Sai also underlined Chhattisgarh’s geographical advantage, stating that its central location in the country makes it ideal for logistics, and the state’s abundant resources such as water and power make it highly conducive to investment. He invited more industrialists to invest in the region.

He also spoke about the state’s growing railway infrastructure and the proposed international cargo hub, which is to be developed in Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to combating Naxalism and credited the support from the ‘double-engine government’ at the Centre and the state for this endeavour. He added, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are determined to eradicate Naxalism by 2026. Soon, Naxalism will be eradicated and all the hurdles will be cleared.’

Earlier, on June 25, CM Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed the decision to hold the next meeting of the Central Zonal Council in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region. The announcement was made during the 25th meeting of the Council held in Varanasi.

Terming it a matter of immense pride, Sai said that holding the meeting in Bastar would be a ‘transformative opportunity’. He added that with the unwavering support of the Central Government, Bastar is on the path to redefine its identity — from a land of conflict to one of possibilities and progress.

Officials also expressed hope that by the time the Council convenes next, Bastar will have witnessed decisive progress in eliminating Left-Wing Extremism. The region is being envisioned as a future model of peace, resilience, and inclusive growth.
