Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], September 11 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to maintain good relations with all countries, including China, and expressed hope that the situation between the two nations will improve in the future.



On PM Modi's bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Sai told reporters that due to the Prime Minister, India's respect and honour at the global stage has increased. He added that PM Modi’s approach is to maintain harmony with all countries, including China, which will create a positive environment in the future.



Meanwhile, during his talks with Xi Jinping, PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to strengthen ties with China based on mutual trust, respect, and sensitivity. He highlighted progress on several fronts, including peace at the border following disengagements, the resumption of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, and the reintroduction of direct flight connectivity between the two countries.



The Prime Minister said that an agreement had been reached between Special Representatives of both nations regarding border management. He noted that after disengagement on the border, an atmosphere of peace and stability has been created. He added that cooperation between India and China is linked to the interests of 2.8 billion people and will contribute to the welfare of humanity.



PM Modi thanked Xi Jinping for the warm welcome and congratulated China on successfully chairing the SCO summit. He also acknowledged the invitation to visit China.



The Prime Minister arrived in China on Saturday evening, marking his first visit to the country in more than seven years. Recently, both nations have taken steps to improve bilateral ties, including the resumption of trade through the Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand, Shipki La Pass in Himachal Pradesh, and Nathu La Pass in Sikkim.
