Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 5 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday asserted that those who damage public property must be exposed and held accountable. He called upon citizens to use their smartphones to record such acts and share them widely, stating that the government would put up posters of the offenders and recover the cost of the damage from them.
‘If someone causes any damage to public property, they should be condemned. You have a smartphone — make those people who damage government property go viral. We will put their posters up and make the recovery. This public property is the property of the nation,’ the Chief Minister said during a public programme.
During the same event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also felicitated 166 meritorious students who ranked in the top 10 of the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams (2024–25) across different education boards in Uttar Pradesh. These included top performers from the UP Board, Sanskrit Education Council, CBSE, and ICSE boards.
Each of the honoured students received INR 1 lakh, a tablet, a certificate, and a medal.
In addition to the main state-level programme, district-level events will also be held to recognise high-achieving students. A total of 1,508 students will be felicitated in these local ceremonies, with each receiving INR 21,000, a tablet, a certificate, and a medal.
District-level felicitation ceremonies are scheduled across all 75 districts, where 758 high school students and 750 intermediate students will be honoured.
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) had declared the Class 12 results in April. Mehak Jaiwal from Prayagraj secured the top position in the UP Board Class 12 exams, achieving over 97 per cent.
