New Delhi [India], July 23 (HBTV): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed public grievances during the Jan Pratinidhi Sammelan and Jan Samvad programme held in Kaithal.

According to an official release, CM Saini emphasised that members of Nagar Parishads, Block Samitis, and Zila Parishads have direct engagement with the public, and people have high expectations from them. Therefore, public representatives must prioritise resolving citizens' issues and ensure the quality of development work in their respective areas.

He stated that the primary aim of such programmes is to accelerate ongoing and upcoming development initiatives through direct communication with the public.

Saini noted that since assuming office as Chief Minister, he has released funds for development projects at both Gram Panchayat and Zila Parishad levels to fast-track growth. Recently, an amount of approximately INR 700 crore was allocated to local bodies.

The Chief Minister urged public representatives to motivate citizens to avail themselves of government flagship schemes and programmes. He specifically mentioned the need to promote water conservation, cleanliness campaigns, the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, and the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan in their areas.

He added that for ongoing street construction work, clear directions have been issued to ensure that any pipeline or utility installation work is completed in advance. This will help prevent future disruptions or inconvenience to residents.

CM Saini also directed public representatives to assist any individual above 70 years of age in obtaining an Ayushman card, ensuring access to the benefits under this key government health scheme. Additionally, he encouraged people to install 2-kilowatt solar energy panels under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

During the programme, Nagar Parishad Chairperson Surbhi Garg and Zila Parishad Chairperson Karmveer Kaul submitted a demand letter highlighting local issues to the Chief Minister.

Saini personally interacted with applicants at the Jan Samvad event, assuring them that their problems would be addressed on priority.

He also felicitated meritorious students, progressive farmers, and individuals active in social service by presenting them with letters of appreciation.
