Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 10 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath listened to the grievances of around 200 people during a Janata Darshan programme at the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur, assuring prompt and fair resolution of all public complaints.
The Janata Darshan is a regular feature of the Chief Minister’s governance model, aimed at swiftly resolving public issues. Interacting with attendees seated in front of the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan at the Gorakhnath temple complex, CM Yogi emphasised that addressing citizens’ concerns is a top priority. He directed officials to act promptly and sensitively on all matters, warning that negligence would not be tolerated.
Walking up to each attendee, the Chief Minister patiently heard their concerns and assured them of justice. He reiterated that public welfare remains his government’s foremost priority and instructed officials to ensure no one is denied justice.
Several attendees sought financial assistance for medical treatment. CM Yogi assured full government support and ordered prompt preparation and submission of cost estimates for immediate relief. Many women attended the Janata Darshan with their children, with the Chief Minister interacting affectionately, offering chocolates, and blessing them with wishes for a bright future.
On Thursday, CM Yogi had also held a Janata Darshan at the Gorakhnath temple premises, where he listened to grievances from people across various districts and assured them of prompt redressal.
Visuals from Saturday’s event showed the Chief Minister directly interacting with citizens and issuing instructions to officials for swift action on the issues raised.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Shravan Shivratri on Wednesday, CM Yogi performed Rudrabhishek at the ancient Mansarovar Temple in Andhiyari Bagh. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth INR 253 crore in Gorakhpur, including the state’s first Urban Flood Management Cell and Early Warning System.
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister noted Gorakhpur’s performance in the Swachh Survekshan awards. He said, ‘Earlier, we gave a target to Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation during the Shivratri of Shravan month. The target for Gorakhpur was to come in the top ten in its category of the Swachhata Survey in India. I appreciate the whole team of the Municipal Corporation, which has sanitation workers, councillors, and cleanliness committees.’
Earlier on Saturday, a grand Tiranga Yatra was organised in Lucknow to celebrate the city’s third-place ranking in the Swachh Survekshan 2024–25, highlighting its progress in cleanliness and waste management.
