Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 24 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh's villages are emerging as models of development, with Gram Pradhans sharing their achievements with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a virtual interaction as part of the Viksit UP@2047 dialogue series.
Shivkumar Rajbhar, head of Gram Panchayat Tadwa Mahant in Ikauna block of Shrawasti district, said the entire village has embraced the Chief Minister’s campaign and expressed excitement over his scheduled visit the following day.
In Kaushambi district, Seema Nirmal, head of Gram Panchayat Ukhaiya Khas in Manjhanpur block, highlighted the impact of self-help groups in empowering women economically, noting that BC Sakhis actively work across villages to support women.
Pravesh, head of Gram Panchayat Bhartaul in Bithri Chainpur block of Bareilly district, said her village established its first model ration shop and is now recognized as a model village, with women pursuing self-reliance.
Gajendra Singh, head of Gram Panchayat Talesara in Gonda block of Aligarh district, shared the historical heritage of his village, home to 13 freedom fighters, with memorials including a stadium and Amrit Sarovar built in their honour. He also noted modern facilities like the Gram Sachivalaya, banquet hall, and smart classrooms in local schools.
Reena Pandey, head of Gram Panchayat Sanaha in Sohawal block of Ayodhya district, said all schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi are being implemented in her village, particularly the waste disposal system, which she described as a strong foundation for a developed Uttar Pradesh.
Devidayal Singh, head of Gram Panchayat Duredi in Badokhar Khurd block of Banda district, said his Panchayat received INR 36 lakh under the Chief Minister’s Panchayat Award Scheme and highlighted initiatives in education, economic strength, and creativity, with smart classrooms operational in all eight schools.
Jai Prakash, head of Bhawal Khera Gram Panchayat in Shahjahanpur district, noted his village has received the Chief Minister’s Panchayat Incentive Award twice and credited self-help groups and Finance Minister Suresh Khanna for boosting local development.
Bhukan Lal, head of Koyla Gram Panchayat in Chamraon block of Rampur district, said his Panchayat, with a population of 7,700, ensures development schemes reach every household, with facilities including a primary health centre, inter-college, bank, post office, library, and an effective waste management system.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the dedication of the Gram Pradhans, noting their proactive efforts as the true driving force behind realizing the vision of a Viksit Uttar Pradesh by 2047.
