Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 5 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath felicitated 166 meritorious students who ranked in the top 10 of the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams (2024–25) across various education boards in the state. These included the top 10 students each from the UP Board, Sanskrit Education Council, CBSE, and ICSE boards.
Each of the students was awarded INR 1 lakh, a tablet, a certificate, and a medal.
In addition to the main state-level event, district-level programmes are also being held to honour outstanding students. A total of 1,508 students will be felicitated at these local ceremonies. Each student will receive INR 21,000, a tablet, a certificate, and a medal.
The district-level felicitation ceremonies are scheduled to take place this afternoon across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Among the 1,508 awardees, 758 are high school students and 750 are intermediate students.
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) had declared the UP Board 2025 results in April. Mehak Jaiwal, a resident of Prayagraj, topped the Class 12 exams with a score of over 97 per cent.
Mehak, who aspires to become a doctor, credited her family and teachers for her success.‘I have secured 97%. I am very happy. I worked really hard, and that's why I got such good results. My parents, teachers, and sister supported me a lot... I want to be a doctor,’ she said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended his congratulations to students who secured a place in the merit list of the Class 10 and 12 Uttar Pradesh Board examinations.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister stated: ‘Hearty congratulations to all the brilliant students who have secured place in the merit list in the 10th and 12th class examinations of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education!’
‘All of you have achieved this success through your tireless hard work, discipline and determination. This achievement will make your parents and teachers proud. Best wishes to all of you for a bright future!’
He announced that the Uttar Pradesh government would honour all state and district-level toppers.
Shivani Yadav from Prayagraj, who secured the 9th position in the UP Board intermediate exams with 95 per cent, said she relied solely on school studies and did not take any online coaching.‘I had expected 92% but not 95%. I studied only at my school; I did not join any online coaching... I want to prepare for PCS (Provincial Civil Services),’ she said.
Anushka Singh from Kaushambi secured the second position in the UP Board Class 12 exams with 96.8 per cent.‘I used to study for 6–7 hours daily and got my doubts cleared with the help of my teachers... In the future, I want to take the civil services exam and become an IAS officer. Currently, I am preparing for JEE and will pursue BTech,’ said Anushka.
