Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 27 (HBTV): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the state's development and improved law and order, stating that no criminal can now walk with his head held high.
‘The current CM of UP is also writing a new story of development. Today, there is a rule of law in UP... The state's contribution to the country's development has increased. Now, no criminal can walk with his head held high in the state,’ Singh said.
Highlighting the BrahMos Missile Integration Unit in Lucknow, the Defence Minister said it would significantly boost employment in the state. ‘After Operation Sindoor, the demand for BrahMos missiles has increased in foreign countries as well, and now BrahMos will be exported from Lucknow... This will also help in increasing employment in the state,’ he said.
Rajnath Singh made these remarks after unveiling the statue of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrabhanu Gupta.
Paying tribute to Gupta, Singh said, ‘Chandrabhanu Gupta was among the leaders who laid down the foundation of the governance system. He started a tradition of public service in politics. He also gave the mantra to keep the people's welfare as a priority.’
He further added, ‘Chandra Banu ji’s vision was never limited to a region. It was always nationalist because he was one of the national leaders who was part of India's freedom struggle.’
Chandra Bhanu Gupta, a noted freedom fighter and politician, served three terms as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
On Saturday, Rajnath Singh also attended the inauguration of a new block at the Badi Kaliji Temple complex in Lucknow. Addressing the gathering, he said the Indian Army continues to receive the special blessings of Maa Kali, citing the destruction of nine terror camps in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
‘Maa Kali has always had special blessings over the Indian Army. Recently, during Operation Sindoor, Indian forces were able to destroy nine terror camps in Pakistan. Women soldiers and pilots also participated in this operation, not just male soldiers. That one form of Mahakali defeated the enemies,’ he said.
