Silchar, Assam, January 10 (HBTV): Fighting broke out between two picnic parties in Cachar district of Assam on Thursday, leaving several injured.
The fight took place at a picnic spot in Sindura. A good number of individuals, including young women, are reported to have been injured. The reason that led to the fight has not been ascertained. However, locals say excess consumption of alcohol may have been a cause of the fight.
Every year the Excise Department and the local police keep a watch on picnic goers in Sindhura but this was not to be seen this time, locals said. The fight between the two groups of picnic goers have gone viral on social media.
