Karimganj, Assam, April 8 (HBTV):  In a bizzare incident, a security guard of the Assam’s Karimganj Civil Hospital's morgue in an inebriated state allegedly raped a dead girl in the hospital's morgue.

The girl, a student of Class nine aged 15 years, committed suicide in Bazaricherra under Karimganj district on April 5 and the body was sent to Karimganj Civil Hospital's morgue. On April 6, the dead body was found lying outside the morgue in a distorted state.

The Karimganj police team upon reaching the place arrested the guard identified as one Anju Rabidas. During the interrogation, the guard confessed to his heinous crime of raping the dead girl in an inebriated state.

The accused has been arrested by Karimganj police.

The body of the girl has been sent for postmortem to Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
