Imphal (Manipur) [India], November 28 (HBTV): The Manipur government announced on Thursday that schools and colleges in the Imphal Valley districts and Jiribam will reopen from November 29, ending a 13-day hiatus.

Educational institutions in these areas had been closed since November 16 following the recovery of the bodies of three women and three children from the Jiri and Barak rivers in Manipur and Assam.

An order issued by the Directorate of Education Schools stated: 'Normal classes will resume for all schools of the state, government, government-aided, private, and central schools from November 29.'

A separate order from the Higher and Technical Education Department confirmed that government educational institutions, government-aided colleges, and state universities will also resume classes from Friday.
