The 17th Digital Transformation Conclave was inaugurated by Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma at the Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall in Aizawl.

Aizawl (Mizoram) [India], May 17 (HBTV): The 17th Digital Transformation Conclave was inaugurated by Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Friday at the Dawrpui Multipurpose Hall in Aizawl. The event was jointly organised by the Department of ICT, Government of Mizoram, along with GovConnect, Google Cloud, and Ilouge Media.

Vanlalthlana, Minister for ICT, attended the event as the guest of honour.

In his address, Chief Minister Lalduhoma underscored the importance of affordable and accessible digital services for the public. He stated that digital governance is not only convenient but also cost-effective for both citizens and the government. Mizoram, he noted, has made significant strides in this direction through various initiatives.

Some of the key platforms and systems launched in the state include the Mizoram State Public Grievances Redressal & Monitoring System, Kai Apps, RAMP – MSME Facilitation Cell and Portals, the SDG Dashboard for tracking Sustainable Development Goals at the village level, MPLAN – Mizoram State Project Monitoring Dashboard, e-RAM for online tax and revenue services, the online ILP (Inner Line Permit) system, and the online OPD registration system at Aizawl Civil Hospital.

The Chief Minister also hinted at upcoming digital initiatives, including government e-offices. He expressed confidence that Mizoram’s collaboration with national-level partners in the field of digital governance would bring continued progress and benefits to the state.

He thanked all participating individuals, companies, and senior government officials for their presence. Referring to the recent hacking incident involving a Mizoram government website, he assured that the site had been swiftly restored and urged all digital stakeholders to remain vigilant, stressing the importance of cybersecurity awareness.

ICT Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana, in his remarks, acknowledged the role of Artificial Intelligence in contemporary society and its growing relevance to businesses and families alike. He called for inclusive internet services, secure cloud-based data storage, and greater access to digital tools for all citizens. He reiterated that digital transformation is central to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and crucial for Mizoram’s and India’s broader progress.

The conclave featured presentations and discussions from key figures including Khilli Ram Meena, Chief Secretary of Mizoram; Anil Shukla, Director General of Police, Mizoram; Mahaveer Singhvi, Joint Secretary of New, Emerging and Strategic Tech (NEST), Ministry of External Affairs; Puneet Yadav, Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances; and Lokesh Lohiya, Head of State Governments and PSUs at Google Cloud.

The inaugural session was chaired by Amit Sharma, Secretary, ICT, Government of Mizoram, who expressed appreciation for all attendees. Fahim Hag, Co-Founder and Director of Alliance at Ilouge Media, explained the rationale behind organising the conclave.

The afternoon session continued with expert-led discussions from both the public and private sectors on how digital services can drive holistic development across the state.
