Guwahati, November 22 (HBTV): A water pipeline In Assam’s Guwahati has burst again amid a time when many people in Guwahati are grappling with water shortage. The incident took place in Chenikuthi area of ​​Guwahati on Friday.



According to updates, the pipeline is along the road from Chenikuthi to Silpukhuri where repair work was being done by a firm called JICA-Gammon. The pipeline suddenly burst when an auto rickshaw heading towards Navagraha, drove over it, updates said. 



After a considerable time, the authorities managed to shut down the pipeline.



Locals said JICA-Gammon had repaired the pipeline here a few days ago. They also alleged that engineers did not come to inspect the work when work on the water pipeline was going on.



Another local said even the cement had not dried then.
