Mizroam’s Lal Hriatrenga Chhangte said on Wednesday that he considered youth as his voters who want to have a dynamic Member of Parliament who can bring employment and career opportunities.

Aizawl (Mizoram) [India], April 17 (HBTV): Exuding confidence about winning the Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate, Mizroam’s Lal Hriatrenga Chhangte said on Wednesday that he considered youth as his voters who want to have a dynamic Member of Parliament (MP) who can bring employment and career opportunities for them.

Chhangte told ANI that the state government cannot create jobs for youth, and that's why they look for jobs outside the state.

‘I consider youth to be my voters. Young and educated voters here want to have a dynamic MP who can bring employment and future career opportunities to them. The state government is largely dependent on the Centre. It has none of its own resources or funds. Mizo people have Chinese looks but have Indian passports,’ he said.

‘Youth looking for employment outside Mizoram is a welcome part of my own because the state government's dependence on the central government cannot create employment opportunities for them. They should work outside and pump in money in the state,’ he said.

‘The main issues here are unemployment, infrastructure, and corruption. We need a serious political leader,’ he added.
