Kohima [Nagaland], January 14 (HornbillTV): The government of Nagaland has decided to upgrade Shamator Sub-Division to that that of a fully fledged district and has also given recognition to the Tikhir tribe as well. This was announced by MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu In his official twitter handle. 

“It’s a proud moment for us all that the Government is to up-grade Shamator Sub-Division to that of a fully fledged District and also give recognition to Tikhir tribe as well . My heartiest congratulations to both Yimkhiung and Tikhir tribes,” Nienu tweeted.
