The Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2024 was passed on the floor of the House today during 4th session of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

Kohima, Nagaland, February 29 (HBTV): The Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2024 was passed on the floor of the House today during 4th session of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. 



The Bill was moved by Chief Minister and minister in charge of Finance, Neiphiu Rio. 



Government bills on “The Nagaland Salaries, Allowances & other Facilities of the Chief Minister, Speaker, Deputy Chief Minister/ Ministers, Leader of Opposition, Deputy Speaker and other Members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and Pension for Ex-Members (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2024” moved by parliamentary affairs minister KG Kenye has been passed in the assembly session. 



The NLA also passed the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Eight Amendment) Bill 2023, which was moved by the chief minister. 



The session also passed the government resolution Repeal of the Public Debt 1944 and amendment of Government Securities Act 2006. 



The Government Bill for Establishment of Private University Bill 2024 was withdrawn today. 



Higher education minister Temjen Imna Along had moved the motion for withdrawal of the bill, which was introduced on February 27.
