Imphal, Manipur, March 20 (HBTV): The Naga People’s Front's Central Working Committee has on Wednesday, March 20, approved the name of Kachui Timothy Zimik as the party’s official candidate for the II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.                          

Former United Naga Council president S Kho John, sitting Member of Parliament Dr Lorho S Pfoze, and former Member of Legislative Assembly Samuel Risom were in the race for the NPF’s ticket.   

The party reportedly met in Kohima on Tuesday, March 19, to decide on the candidate for Outer Manipur.                                            

However, a decision could not be reached on Tuesday, and the discussions reportedly resumed on Wednesday.                     

The NPF’s central president Apong Pongener, member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Azo Neinu, Manipur state’s NPF unit president Awang-bow Newmai, among others, are said to have attended the meeting.
