China has launched its fully electrified bullet train in the Himalayan Region of Tibet bordering Indian state Arunchal Pradesh

China on Friday, June 25, 2021 launched it’s fully electrified bullet train in the Himalayan Region of Tibet which will be connecting the capital Lhasa to Nyingchi. The country launched it’s fully electrified bullet train in the Himalayan Region of Tibet which is close to the border of the Indian state Arunchal Pradesh. Ahead of the China Communist Party’s centenary celebrations set for July, the 435.5-km Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway was inaugurated.
After Qinghai Tibey Railway, Sichuan-Tibet Railway will be the second railway in Tibet and will ride along southeast of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The new Railway will reduce the journey from Chengdu to Lhasa from 48 hours to 13 hours.
Nyingchi is adjacent to the Arunachal Pradesh border. China further claims that Arunachal Pradesh is part of South Tibet, which is against the Indian border claim. The India-China border dispute stretches across the 3,488-km-long Line of Actual Control (LAC).
