Dimapur conducts absentee voter ballot delivery

The Absentee Voter Service Centers (AVSC), facilitated by Absentee Voter Ballot Delivery has commenced at the DB Court in the premises of the deputy commissioner’s office of Dimapur from April 9.

Chumoukedima, Nagaland, April 10 (HBTV): The Absentee Voter Service Centers (AVSC), facilitated by Absentee Voter Ballot Delivery has commenced at the DB Court in the premises of the deputy commissioner’s office of Dimapur from April 9. 



Nine teams from Dimapur I, II and III went door-to-door reaching out to absentee voters through the AVSC, updates from the government publicity agency department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) stated. 



The ballot boxes were securely sealed in the presence of representatives from various political parties, police officials, polling authorities and magistrates.              



The nodal officer for postal ballot, Litsenthung Kikon oversaw the sealing process, ensuring all protocols have been followed diligently. 



There were a total of 179 absentee voters in Dimapur. The postal ballot casting through AVSC and AVPD will be done till April 10, the IPR stated. 



According to the IPR, senior citizens ‘above the age of 85 years’ availed the facility of postal ballot in Dimapur.
