Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], May 21 (HBTV): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held a review meeting to assess the ongoing programmes of the Panchayat and Agriculture Departments in the state.
During a joint press conference with CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated, ‘Today, I am happy that under the leadership of PM Modi, we have fulfilled the promise of providing housing to eligible beneficiaries in the state. After the formation of the government, we allocated over 8 lakh houses in Chhattisgarh. In the previous government, there was a state scheme to provide houses, but the houses were left half-constructed. I appreciate CM Vishnu Deo Sai for completing the construction of these houses. We have started a new survey for the construction of additional houses.’
Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh government's Samadhan Shivir initiative has achieved notable success in Bastar district, resolving 85 per cent of cases on the spot. The programme, organised across 13–14 Gram Panchayats in the Jagdalpur district, addressed over 4,000 applications—most of which were related to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
The Samadhan Shivir initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve public service delivery and address citizens’ needs efficiently.
Earlier, on May 6, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed the progress of the Samadhan Shivir camps in Kawardha town, located in Kabirdham district. This initiative aims to resolve public grievances and ensure the benefits of government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries. During his visit, the Chief Minister also interacted with residents to confirm whether government schemes were being implemented effectively and to identify areas requiring further attention.
