The CBI has arrested a man from Haryana’s Hisar on charges of raping and sexually assaulting multiple minor girls, in a case involving the creation and possession of child sexual abuse materials.

New Delhi [India], June 19 (HBTV): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a man from Haryana’s Hisar district on charges of raping and sexually assaulting multiple minor girls, in a case involving the creation and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

The case was registered on May 29 against the accused for allegedly creating, collecting, exchanging, and uploading CSAM depicting children in sexual acts, along with storing such pornographic material in electronic form.

Demonstrating its commitment to combating child sexual exploitation, the CBI acted on its own initiative before any complaint was made by victims or their families to law enforcement authorities.

According to an official statement, CBI investigators used cyber forensic tools to analyse images and videos from INTERPOL’s International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) database. These were cross-referenced with Cyber Tipline reports submitted by Google to the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs.

The analysis helped identify the location of the abuse in Hisar, Haryana. The digital content revealed multiple instances of sexual assault and exploitation of minor girls by the accused over several years.

On June 3, the CBI conducted searches at the accused’s residence, recovering electronic gadgets containing incriminating material. The agency also identified several child victims who were subjected to rape, abuse, threats, and exploitation for pornographic purposes.

Sources said the accused, who has a physical disability, was arrested the same day. The investigation is ongoing.
