Lucknow / Hapur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 2 (HBTV): Dr Nitin Gaur (IAS), Vice Chairman of the Hapur–Pilkhuwa Development Authority (HPDA), paid a visit to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence in Lucknow. During the meeting, discussions were held on organising an investor summit in Hapur district, establishment of industries and measures to accelerate development works undertaken by the Authority.

According to officials, the Chief Minister appreciated the ongoing efforts to attract investment and promote industrial units in the region, and encouraged the Authority to continue its initiatives. Dr Gaur expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his guidance and leadership.

During the interaction, the HPDA vice chairman also briefed the Chief Minister on the Authority’s improved financial performance. Officials stated that HPDA recorded a profit of INR 112 crore in 2023–24, while a projected profit of INR 435 crore has been reported for 2024–25. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and senior officials at the principal secretary level conveyed their appreciation for the achievement.

Dr Gaur informed the Chief Minister that the ‘Haripur Residential Scheme’ will be launched soon with the objective of strengthening planned urban development in the Authority’s jurisdiction and advancing residential projects in a systematic manner.

Progress of housing projects for the Economically Weaker Sections was also discussed. Officials said that on December 26, 2025, a lucky draw was conducted for allotment of 956 residential units, expediting the housing process for beneficiaries.

The meeting also covered the development of industrial areas and preparation of a land bank. Guidance was provided on ensuring land availability for industries, development of basic infrastructure and creation of an investment-friendly environment.

Officials said the meeting is being viewed as significant for boosting investment, industrialisation and planned urban development in the Hapur region.
