According to the Indian Army, Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing from posts across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a related development, on April 30, India closed its airspace to all aircraft registered in Pakistan and those operated by Pakistani airlines. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) was issued, confirming the airspace closure for Pakistani-registered, operated, or leased aircraft—including military flights—from April 30 to May 23.

Furthermore, on April 29, the Director Generals of Military Operations of both India and Pakistan engaged in a hotline conversation. Defence sources reported that India warned Pakistan against the continued ceasefire violations along the LoC and the International Border.
