New Delhi [India], August 10 (HBTV): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital and invited him to attend the state's silver jubilee celebrations as the chief guest.

Sai said the silver jubilee year of the state's formation has been named Atal Nirman Diwas to coincide with the birth centenary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. “I am in Delhi. I met PM Narendra Modi. This is the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh... 1st November is the formation day of the state. This is also the birth centenary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. So, we have declared this ‘Atal Nirman Diwas’ in Chhattisgarh. I have invited PM Modi to attend the celebrations as the chief guest,” he said.

The Chief Minister also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and briefed him on the situation related to Left-Wing Extremism in the state. “Yesterday I met Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Mansukh Mandaviya as well,” he added.

Marking 25 years since its formation on November 1, 2000, Chhattisgarh is celebrating the milestone as Amrit Rajat Jayanti Year. Sai said the Prime Minister’s presence would enhance the historical importance of the occasion. He also informed PM Modi about the state’s Anjor Vision @2047 policy document, which outlines a roadmap for inclusive and sustainable development aligned with the goals of Viksit Bharat.

The policy focuses on reforms and innovation across education, health, agriculture, industry, and the environment. Sai also informed the Prime Minister that, inspired by the Centre’s Jan Vishwas Act 2023, the state government has passed the Jan Vishwas Bill 2025 to improve transparency in the justice system and ensure easier access to justice for citizens.
